The Unidentified is a 2008 dramatic feature film by writer-director Kevan Tucker in his directorial debut for Floodgate Features. It won “Best New Director” at the 2008 Brooklyn International Film Festival and “Best First Feature” at the 2008 FirstGlance Film Festival in Philadelphia. It also screened at the Asheville Film Festival and Methodfest Film Festival in 2008. It is considered part of the mumblecore movement.
The movie is about Estlin, a journalist in New York City. He struggles with defining career and relationships, trying to establish himself as a writer while dealing with the complications of friendship with the opposite sex.

In 2008, Stephen won two Telly Awards for outstanding work in both Editorial and Motion Graphics for “The Save Ellis Island” Campaign. He also earned several festival wins that year for his feature film “The Unidentified,” (www.theunidentified.net) including Best Feature of FirstGlance Philadelphia and Best Director of The Brooklyn International Film Festival. ”The Unidentified” was also distributed this year by Vanguard Cinema. And most recently, Stephen directed and shot the show “America Haunts” for the Travel Channel, a show which he also co-edited and post-supervised.
